According to a recent study by Business.com, small business decision makers use social media to access business-relevant information easily. They favour webinar or podcasts, ratings and reviews as well as company profile pages on sites like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
The study surveyed twelve industries. The industries that used social media sites were (not surprisingly) Internet & Online, Advertising and Marketing and Computers & Software.The healthcare, retail and legal industries used the least amount of social media sites.
Somewhat surprisingly, B2B small business decision-makers are more active users of social media than their B2C counterparts.
