Mobile Ads Have Mixed Results

According to a report by Mojiva Mobile Audience Guide, over 60% of mobile device users will click on mobile ads at least once a week.  If they see an ad, over half of the users say they will play a game, download an application or visit a Web Site.  However only 22% said they would make a purchase.  And 40% would download a coupon.

Over 84% of users said that graphic ads would capture their attention.  They said ‘normal banner ads’, ‘video ads’, ‘ads that let me interact with them’ or ‘animated banner adds’ as all forms of marketing they would notice.

13% of users say they would pay attention to a text ad.

Marketing offers that relate to magazines, dating, airlines, traffic and banking had the worst performance.
